About

What this is

This site is a set of original study notes for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA-C03) exam, written by Ashish Kashyap while preparing for the certification. It's public because writing an explanation you'd be willing to publish is one of the best ways to find out whether you actually understand something.

The content is organized into three depths (Learn / Revise / Practice) plus hands-on labs, a cheat sheet, and a personal gap tracker. See the Home page for how it all fits together.

Not affiliated with AWS

This is an independent study project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Amazon Web Services, Inc. or its affiliates. "AWS", "Amazon Web Services", and all service names are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates, used here only to refer to the services they name.

Accuracy — please verify before you rely on anything

Everything here is cross-checked against the official AWS documentation (docs.aws.amazon.com) as the source of truth, rather than recalled from memory or copied from a course. But:

Verify against official docs

AWS ships changes constantly — limits are raised, new storage classes appear, defaults shift, and pricing evolves. Any specific number, default, limit, or price on this site may be out of date or simply wrong. Before you rely on a fact for the exam or for real architecture work, confirm it against the current official AWS documentation. Items still awaiting a verification pass are marked inline in the source with <!-- VERIFY -->.

If you find an error, treat the official docs as authoritative over this site.

  • All explanations are original writing. No text, slides, or explanations are reproduced or closely paraphrased from any paid course (e.g. video courses or practice-exam vendors).
  • All practice and mock-exam questions are original scenario questions written for this site, inspired by the published exam style and domain weightings. None are copied or reworded from any vendor's question bank or from real exam questions — reusing real exam content violates the AWS Certification Agreement.
  • AWS facts themselves aren't anyone's property; the writing about them here is.
  • Facts are cross-referenced against the official AWS documentation (linked below) to get them right — the explanations, labs, and questions are my own work, not reproductions of any source.
